Middle schoolers are not left out of the excitement this week! While high schoolers engage in the thought-provoking discussions of the Think Tank session, our dynamic poetry workshop awaits students in grades 6-8. 


 

What to Expect: 

 

Day One kicks off with an exploration into the captivating world of hip-hop poetry. Participants will unravel the intricate tapestry of poetic devices and literary elements woven into the lyrics of hip-hop artists. From intricate rhyme schemes to powerful imagery, delve into how these elements shape the profound impact of hip-hop on culture and expression.

 

On Day Two, join acclaimed Oakland artist @TheLooveMooreShow for an immersive journey into the art of crafting a hip-hop song. Gain insights into lyricism, flow, storytelling, and rhythm as you hone your skills under the guidance of a seasoned professional. Prepare to unleash your creativity and elevate your poetic prowess in this two-day exploration of hip-hop's poetic essence
